The DiskStation RS2423+ 12-Bay NAS Enclosure from Synology is a versatile and cost-effective storage server for central data storage and sharing, endpoint and server backup, surveillance management, and other business applications.
With sequential reads of over 3500 MB/s and sequential writes of over 1700 MB/s, as well as the option to boost I/O speeds through SSD caching, the RS2423+ provides flexible storage with strong built-in data protection capabilities.
Powered by Synology’s DiskStation Manager (DSM), the RS2423+ can be expanded with 12 additional drive bays, or use the PCIe 3.0 x8/x4 slot to install a 1/10/25GbE networking card.
The RS2423+ is equipped with a 3.35 GHz AMD Ryzen V1780B Quad-Core processor and 8GB of DDR4 ECC memory that can be expanded up to 32GB. This NAS is equipped with 12 drive bays that natively support 3.5″ SATA hard drives, as well as 2.5″ SATA hard drives and SSDs for data storage.
The RS2423+ runs on the Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) OS, which is a browser-based operating system that helps to simplify managing your Synology NAS. Also featured are two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports for peripherals and accessories, plus a mini-SAS HD expansion port for an RX1223RP expansion unit.
Network connectivity is achieved via the one 10 Gigabit Ethernet port or two Gigabit Ethernet ports. For those who require RAID support, the RS2423+ supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10, as well Synology Hybrid and Basic, each of which offers performance, data redundancy, or a combination of both.
For those who do not require a RAID, JBOD is also available, allowing each drive bay to be individually utilized.
