The Sony FX3A is a compact full-frame cinema camera designed for professional video production. It uses a 10.2MP effective back-illuminated full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor.
The camera records 4K video at up to 120p. It also supports 10-bit 4:2:2 internal recording. In addition, Sony includes S-Cinetone for compatible video workflows.
The camera uses Fast Hybrid AF with 627 phase-detection points. Furthermore, Real-time Tracking and Real-time Eye AF support subject tracking during recording.
The FX3A provides 5-axis optical image stabilization. It offers Standard, Active, and Dynamic Active stabilization modes. Also, the camera includes a built-in cooling fan for extended recording.
The camera supports XAVC S-I, XAVC HS, and XAVC S recording formats. Moreover, it provides S-Log3 and S-Gamut3.Cine for compatible color workflows.
The body includes HDMI Type-A output, a 3.5mm microphone input, and a 3.5mm headphone output. It also provides USB Type-C connectivity. In addition, the Multi Interface Shoe supports compatible audio accessories.
The FX3A uses CFexpress Type A and SD memory cards. It includes two card slots that support both formats. Meanwhile, the camera uses an NP-FZ100 rechargeable battery.
Sony provides a 3.0-inch vari-angle touchscreen LCD with approximately 1.44 million dots. The camera body measures approximately 129.7 × 77.8 × 84.5mm and weighs approximately 715g with the battery and memory card.
