Octopath Traveler 0 PS5 is a turn-based RPG set in the world of Orsterra. The story follows a journey of revenge and restoration after the protagonist’s hometown is destroyed.
Players create their own protagonist and customize their appearance, voice, movements, favorite dish, and other personal details. Therefore, the main character can reflect your preferred playstyle and identity.
The game introduces town building, allowing players to rebuild their destroyed hometown. You can place buildings, invite companions and other characters to live there, and gradually develop the settlement.
Combat uses the series’ Break and Boost systems for strategic turn-based battles. Players can recruit more than 30 allies and create parties of up to eight characters. Moreover, the new front and rear row system adds more tactical options during battles.
Path Actions let you interact with people and the world in different ways. You can recruit residents, challenge characters, obtain items, and influence your adventure based on your choices.
The game also introduces a skill system that lets allies learn Action Skills and pass them to other characters. In addition, character-specific Ultimate Techniques provide powerful abilities for important battles.
The signature HD-2D presentation combines retro pixel-art characters with modern 3D environments and effects. On PS5, the game supports DualSense wireless controller vibration.
