Players face dangerous enemy forces, including Terminids, Automatons, and the Illuminate. Each faction presents different threats and requires different approaches during combat.

Friendly fire remains active during battles. Therefore, players must communicate and aim carefully when fighting alongside their squad.

The game features a wide range of missions and objectives. Players can destroy enemy positions, eliminate targets, retrieve information, and complete other operations while exploring hostile environments.

The PS5 version supports DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. It also supports online multiplayer for up to four players and cross-play with PC
