Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey & Friends PS5 is a 2D platforming adventure set on the mysterious island of Monoth. Players choose Mickey, Minnie, Donald, or Goofy and explore the island to recover three mystical books.
The game combines platforming, exploration, puzzles, collectibles, and boss encounters. Players can run, swim, swing, jump, glide, wall jump, and use other abilities as they progress through different areas.
Each character has unique abilities that help with traversal and cooperative challenges. Moreover, the game supports up to four players in local couch co-op, allowing friends or family to explore Monoth together.
The island contains different biomes, hidden secrets, collectibles, and characters. Players can also collect map pieces, keys, Mickey memorabilia, Tokuns, and Glimts while exploring.
The PS5 version includes the base game alongside the Keeper Up, Mystery in Monoth, and C.A.S.H. updates. The C.A.S.H. update introduces Scrooge McDuck, underground exploration, treasure hunting, and equipment upgrades.
The game uses hand-drawn animation, an original orchestral soundtrack, and authentic voice performances. Therefore, it delivers a presentation inspired by classic Mickey animation.
