The Canon EOS R3 is a professional full-frame mirrorless camera with a 24.1MP back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor. It uses the DIGIC X image processor and Canon RF mount.
The stacked sensor provides fast readout for high-speed shooting. In addition, the camera can capture images at up to 30fps with its electronic shutter. Mechanical shutter shooting reaches up to 12fps.
For autofocus, the camera uses Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with 1,053 AF points. It supports eye, face, head, animal, and vehicle detection. Furthermore, the camera features Eye Control AF for selecting the initial focus area through the electronic viewfinder.

The EOS R3 provides CFexpress and UHS-II SD card slots. It also includes Ethernet, USB, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity. In addition, Canon includes built-in GPS for compatible location data recording.
The camera has a built-in vertical grip for portrait and landscape shooting. It uses the LP-E19 battery. The body also provides a durable design for professional use.
